Scooter Time

Today Room 14 learnt about how to ride their scooter safely. 



These are some of the important rules we learnt: 
1. Wear your helmet correctly. 
2. Check your brakes and steering handle work properly. 
3. Slow down and check sneaky driveways are clear before passing. 
4. Get off your scooter and walk your scooter across pedestrian crossings. 
5. Jump off your scooter and hold onto the handle bars if you need to make an 
    emergency stop. 

 We had fun practicing some of these rules around an obstacle course. 

 Make sure you use these rules when scootering around your neighbourhood!

Grandparents Day

Today was grandparents day. We showed them the playground.

We sung a song. It was fun. I read to Silas’ Nana. She gave me a high five. I had fun with the grandparents. Silas’ Nana is nice because she said nice words to me.

Today we had the timetable changed over because it was grandparents day. First we did the welcome song. Next we did reading with Nana. It was fun because my Nana was the princess and I was the dragon and King. After that I played on the ipad. Nana thought the ipad was cool because she had never seen one before. I liked my Nana at school because it felt different.

I sung a song to Gran-Jay and she looked around the classroom. Next I read my readers. Good work said Gran-Jay. Next I went on the ipad. I think you shouldn’t be on there said Gran-Jay. Ipads are a part of reading Gran-Jay!

We sung a song to our grandparents to welcome them. Then we read our book and my grandparents helped me to read. Next we chose some things to do. I saw my friend playing on the computer and ipad. My grandad wanted to have a turn and I let him and he loved it!

I was the first one to finish my reading. Then I played on the ipad. It was fun. After that I played with the playdough. Aajja and Aajji liked my fast words and they also liked the pictures of the olden days. By Advik 

It was grandparents day today. We sung a song to the grandparents. Next we read a book to Kaitlyn’s Nana. Kaitlyn’s Nana said “Good job!” After reading we got to choose an activity. I chose the puzzles. It was fun. I showed Kaitlyn’s Nana the library and the thinking garden. Grandparent’s Day was special because Kaitlyn’s Nana said “Good job” to me.

We sung a song together. Next we read a book. I read my book to Zivan’s Nana. She is nice and Zivan’s Papa is nice too. I played on the tablet. It was fun.

Grandparents day was fun. My Grandpa sat down and my class sung a song. Next I got my book bag and I read my book to my Nana. She was impressed with me. Next I went to the ipad. It was fun with my Grandpa and he wanted to play on the ipad. Grandparents Day was fun.
